The University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney) is a public research university established on 1 July 1949 as the New South Wales University of Technology, later renamed the University of New South Wales in 1958. Its main Kensington campus is located on High Street in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

UNSW offers undergraduate and postgraduate study across faculties spanning arts, design and architecture, business, engineering, law, medicine and health, science, and UNSW Canberra at the Australian Defence Force Academy.
